Alan Lee Paul, 35, of Panama City, FL, passed away April 20, 2014 in a motorcycle accident. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Deerpoint Lake. Alan served four years in the United States Navy, and was currently employed by Thompson Caterpillar. He was a loving husband, father and son. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Paul and four children, Tyler, Tice, Alison and Ashalyn Paul. He was the ultimate daddy dedicated to his children. Alan enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles and helping others.
Alan is also survived by his mother, Vicki and husband Frank Gilmore; his father, Joseph and wife Margaret Paul; stepfather, Michael Steed; his five sisters Jennifer Steed, Melissa Steed, Angela Gillmore, Gina Gillmore and Amber Paul-Husley; a brother, Joseph Sazbo, III; and two step-brothers, Dustin and Kenny Turner. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Paul, Alonzo Wilson, Allen Webb, Jr. and Charles Steed; his grandmother, Ethyl Paul and his aunt,Brenda Wilson.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Hodges officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Pallbearers will include Ricky Paul, Steve Paul, Mike Paul, Dan Brown, Dustin Turner, Sean Kane and Kenny Turner. Honorary pallbearers will include the American Infidels Motorcycle Club.
