Florence Roszelle

Florence K. Roszelle, 84, of Panama City Beach, FL, formerly of Americus, GA and Meriden, CT, passed away July 13, 2014.  Florence grew up and attended schools in Meriden, CT. She graduated from the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing, receiving her Registered Nursing degree in 1950. In 1975, her husband's job took them to Georgia where she worked at the Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Americus, GA, and was an active member of the Andersonville Guild in Andersonville, GA.  In 1994, they retired and moved to Panama City Beach, FL where she was an active member of St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James D. "Don" Roszelle of Panama City Beach, FL; her son, John Douglas Roszelle and his wife Holly of Niantic, CT. She was preceded in death by her son, James Donald Roszelle, Jr., who died in 2001.  Also surviving are her sister, Irene K. Levee, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church  at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 17, 2014, with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 1214 Moylan Road, Panama City Beach, FL 32407 or to Covenant Hospice, 107 W. 19th St., Panama City, FL 32405.
