Willie Shirah

Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Willie Shirah, 93, of Panama City, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 28, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Shirah was born in Cherokee County, GA, and lived in Panama City since 1958.  She was a member of the Lighthouse Holiness Church in Southport, and loved her family and church family very much. Mrs. Shirah was preceded in death by her first husband, James Lloyd Eason and a son, James Lonny Eason.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Earl Shirah of Panama City; 5 children, James Larry Eason (Diane) San Bernardino, CA, James Leroy Eason of Fountain,  Jimmy Leona Horne (Richard) of Fountain, James Lamar Eason (Carol Ann) of Panama City and James Laray Eason (Nancy) of Fountain;  a brother, Robert Thomas (Sarah) of Clemmons, SC; a sister, Carolyn Turner of Columbus, GA; 4 stepchildren, Myrtice Wooten (Lee) of Opelika, AL, Carl Shirah of McDonough, GA, Doris Shirah of Antioch, TN and Don Shirah (Babette) of Fairburn, GA;  13 grandchildren, at least 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Shirah's family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 2, 2014, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nixon Riley and Rev. Rossie Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Logan Hartzog, Robert Eason, Zachory Ward, Tyler Clarke, Cody Davenport and Codey Colby.
