Avron B Taggart

Master Sergeant, Avron B. Taggart, USAF, ret., 87 of Panama City, passed away March 26, 2017 at Bay Medical Center. Avron was born December 14, 1929 in Linden, AL to Benny and Pauline (Gibson) Taggart and moved to Panama City in 1985. Avron is a 21 year Air Force Veteran. He is the former owner of Tag’s Multi Repair Center in Panama City and Tag & Fred’s Garage in Burkburnett, TX. Avron was an avid NASCAR fan, boater and fisherman who also enjoyed golfing. He was united in marriage on October 14, 1950 to his wife of 66 years, Wynema who resides in Panama City. Avron is also survived by his children, Deirdre (Larry) Ross of Colorado Springs, CO, Suzanne (Joe) Cerney of Oklahoma City, OK, Terry (Kirk) Greek of Panama City and Bud (Monica) Taggart of Locust Grove, GA; his sister, Martha Casteel of Panama City as well as his twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place 2pm Thursday at Messiah Lutheran Church with entombment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Avron’s memory to Messiah Lutheran Church.
