It was an honor knowing Charlie. I (Malissa) served in Kiwanis Club with Charlie years ago. He was a dedicated, hardworking and very giving man. The success of our Kiwanis Club was largely due to Charlie's dedication, giving spirit and willingness to go the extra mile. I am a better person for knowing him. Michael and I send our deepest sympathies to the entire family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Charlie was an amazing person and so wonderful to be around. It was a pleasure to work for him at Pate Electric. I always hoped our paths would cross again some day and they will, not on this earth, but in Heaven. Deena, you had the best mate anyone could imagine. You kids, grandkids, live your life like Charlie. He was an example of everything good in a man, and left an amazing legacy for all of you. Love and prayers, Juanita Dick.

Charlie was The Godfather of the boating community that welcomed us in with open arms. He taught me my first boating lesson right there on the dock at Treasure Island Marina where an enormous family was created.... From this family came a lifetime of friendships and memories. Thank you Charlie!

Deena, Mike and I only knew Charlie for a short time, but long enough to know what a wonderful person he was and how much he loved you and his family. Charlie will be missed by many people but what a wonderful legacy of generosity he has left for all of us. Our prayers are with you and your family. Warm regards, Marge and Mike
