Mrs. Elena Duba Breland was born July 31, 1939 in Barrio Kawit, Medellin, Cebu, Philippines.
Mrs. Breland was active in the church she served as a Deaconess since 1975, participated on the church Usher Board and served as the secretary of the Bay County Usher Board Union, she was also an assistant matron to the youth church to include serving on the Church Senior Mission Ministry.
Other community service activities included being a member of the AARP Bay County chapter #1315 for 10 years and serving as a board member of the local AARP Bay County chapter. She also participated and volunteered with the Council on Aging for many years.
She enjoyed playing computer games, card games, crossword puzzles, sewing, traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dionesio and Prescila Duba, and her husband, Rudolph V. Breland.
She is survived by her sons, James Breland (grandchildren, Jania, Kristopher, Kejon, Trevion, and Branden), Steven Breland and wife, Theresa (grandchildren, Steven Jr., Brittney, Tamara, and Anissa), Victor Breland (grandchildren, Sharice and Gary), Kenneth Breland and wife, Brenda, Mark Breland and wife, Dee (grandchildren, Jeremy, Jordan, and Mark Jr), Angelo Breland and wife, Connie (grandchildren, Angelo Jr, Angela, and Mark) and Rudolph Breland Jr. She is also survived by her sister, Soledad Duba and a host of nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
