Gloria G. Hahn Carter, 69, of Panama City Beach, Florida passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017.
Mrs. Carter graduated in 1966 from Wendell Willkie High School in Elwood, IN. She was in the US Navy from 1966-1968. She retired after 20 years from Ryder Truck Inc. in Miami, FL. as a purchasing agent. Gloria enjoyed reading, genealogy, playing the slots and outings with her girls night out group.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sylvester R. Hahn and Wavalyn G. Hahn (Smith); sister Wavalyn Hahn.
She is survived by her loving husband Harry S. Carter of Panama City Beach, FL of 49 years; daughter Janelle L. Amos (Tony Motisi) of Hollywood, FL.; son Jeffrey S. Carter (Gina) of Boca Raton, FL.; brothers Mark Hahn (Penny) of Shepherdsville, KY. and Sylvester “Butch” Hahn Jr. of Elwood, IN.; sisters Becky Capps (Bill) of Elwood, IN and Sylvia “Cookie” Arnold (Doug); granddaughters Jacqui M. Amos of Cutler Bay, FL. and Ophelia J. Carter of Boca Raton, FL. ; grandson Stephen J. Carter of Boca Raton, FL. ; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in -laws, friends, and beloved pets.
The family would like to acknowledge the doctors and staff of Bay Medical Center Sacred Heart Hospital, with special thanks to Dr. Douglas Stringer MD and Glenn Boutwell R.N. for their kindness and support.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
