James Christopher Barnes, 56 of Mission, TX and formerly of Lynn Haven, passed away August 11, 2017. Chris was born March 25, 1961 in Panama City to James and Shirley (Arnold) Barnes. Chris was an avid athlete who enjoyed playing baseball and especially weightlifting and body building. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley and survived by his wife, Debbie; his father, James of Lynn Haven; his sisters, Becky Barnes of Panama City and Brenda (David) Squires of Panama City Beach; his step daughter, Melissa (Alec) Graham of Raleigh, NC and his nieces, Tiffany (Corbin) Clinage and Melissa Phillips both of Nashville, TN. Friends will be received 6-8 pm Thursday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where funeral services will take place 2 pm Friday. Interment will follow the service at Lynn Haven Cemetery.
