JOHN KENNETH EAVES

John Kenneth Eaves, 63, of Panama City, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018. John was born in Norfolk, VA, but lived most of his life in Bay County. He worked as a Longshoreman at the Port of Panama City for 45 years. John enjoyed supporting his children while they participated in sports, gardening playing pool, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Eaves.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce Eaves; his wife of 35 years, Janel; his children, Kyle Eaves of Atlanta, Sara Bouie (Jon) of Panama City, and Jonathan Eaves (Nicole) of Dothan; his brothers, Ray and Steve Eaves of Panama City; sisters, Marcia Perozo (Ciro) of Miami, Lori Valdez-Eaves of Chattahoochee, FL and Donna Hood of Panama City; and his grandchildren, Avalon Bouie and Harlee Eaves.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Bryan officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00.
