JULIE KIRKLAND ISLER

Julie Kirkland Isler, 91, beloved Mom and Mamaw, entered into eternal life peacefully, surrounded by her family, Sunday, May 21, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jack L. Isler. Born in Ariton, AL and lived in Brannonville since 1956. Julie enjoyed working in retail for many years, beginning at McCrory's Five and Dime. She also managed the Drapery Outlet on Harrison Avenue, and later retired from Hallmark.

Julie was a longtime member of the Brannonville Baptist Church since 1956. She enjoyed being with her family, and was always making homemade bread and dirt cake for her grandchildren. Her passion was ministering to those in need.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Jackie Isler of Panama City, Margie Joswick (Frank) of Carrollton, GA; Peggy Barnett of Panama City and Christine Boggs (Dennis) of Lynn Haven, FL; one brother, Charlie Kirkland (Dollie) of Panama City; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 25, 2017, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Jackson, Minister of Spiritual Development, Hiland Park Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00. Asked to serve as pallbearers are her six grandsons, Bryan Joswick, Scott Joswick, Joe Isler, James Isler, Derek Boggs and Daryl Boggs.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to an organization that ministers to the needs of underprivileged children.
