Mrs. Kathleen Florence Ove passed from this life on Tuesday January 9, 2018 losing a brief but valiant battle with lung disease. Kathleen was born on Sept. 15, 1946, in Cooperstown, N.Y. After nursing school and tours with the Air Force as both an officer and a spouse, she and her family moved to Panama City, her happy home of 40 years. She is survived by her husband Capt. Tom Ove, USAF, Ret.; her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and David Gibson; son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Felicia Ove, and son Stephen Ove; grandchildren Brittany Gibson, Brandon Gibson, Connor Ove, Tyler Ove; and Cousin Clifford Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Ruth Breadel. Kathy was a lover of life, people,
family, and friends with a passion for genealogy and time spent with loved ones. As a labor and delivery nurse in our community she brought thousands of lives into this world, and left it giving of herself in hopes of advancing the science of interstitial lung disease. She will be missed terribly by all who had the pleasure to know her.

 Her celebration of life service will be held with her congregation at St. Dominic Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10am. As a veteran, her remains will then be interred at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org.
