Louis C Jeter

Louis “Louie” Charles Jeter, 88, of Alford, FL, formerly of Panama City Beach, FL went home to be with the Lord, November 30, 2017. Louie retired from Bay, Jackson, and Washington County School Systems in Education. He was born and lived in Miami, prior to moving to Panama City. He graduated from Edison High School in Miami, FL. In Miami, he was a Fireman for 12 years. He moved to Panama City and was owner and operator of Gulf Coast Academy Of Hair Design. He graduated from Florida State University with a Masters Degree in Education in 1964. He later went back to Florida State attaining a Masters Degree in Counseling and Masters Degree in Psychology. He also graduated from New Orleans Baptist Seminary in New Orleans, LA, with a degree in Religious Education. Louie and his wife, Linda were Executive Directors of Panhandle Christian Children's Home, Inc. for many years, in Bay County, FL. He loved football and was a fan of F.S.U. Seminoles. He also loved living in Panama City Beach where he enjoyed walking on the beach and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Bessie Jeter, his brother Leslie Jeter, and his sister, Lucille Sypolt. He is survived by his wife, Linda Jeter; children: Kathy Libersat (David), Chuck Jeter (Joelle), Terrie Faulkenberry (Greg), Stephanie Zeitvogel (Lee), Tari Sale (Marcus); eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at Kent-Forest Funeral Home Chapel, Panama City, FL. Visitation will be at 1 pm followed by the service at 2 pm Thursday December 7, 2017.
