Margaret Mary Hilton

Margaret “Mickie” Hilton, 77, born on July 7, 1940 in Hartford, CT, went home to our Lord, Friday, January 19, 2018, at a local health care facility. She was a long time resident of West Haven and Meriden, CT. Mickie retired at the age of 47 after 27 years of service as a Construction Supervisor in the Engineering Department of Southern New England Telephone Company in New Haven, CT. Shorty after her retirement, she became tournament coordinator for Hunter Golf Course in Meriden, CT., where she also won the Club Championship. Mickie was an incredible athlete and loved sports. She was also a member of the Hall of Fame of the New Haven County Women’s Bowling Association. She relocated as a snowbird with her best friend Carol Wiedenmann to Panama City Beach, FL. in 1991 and became a long time member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mickie was also a member of the Holiday Women's Golf Association for 25 years. Mickie was very charitable person and gave to many veterans groups, children’s, animal and religious organizations and was also an avid bingo enthusiast and lifelong Yankee fan. Mickie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Helen Hilton. She is survived by her best friend  of 56 years Carol Wiedenmann; a brother, Donald (Debbie) Hilton, U.S. Navy ,CWO, ret.; her three nephews, David Wiedenmann, Daniel Wiedenmann  (Kim)  and their daughters, Nicole & Lauren and Paul Wiedenmann  (Susan) and their daughter,  Isabelle; and the love of her life, her cat Riley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated, 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
