Margaret Ann “Mimi” Murdock, 73, of Panama City, passed away August 11, 2017 at Covenant Care Hospice. Margaret was born November 3, 1943 in Augusta, GA to Wayne and Margarette (Blackwell) Russell and moved to Panama City in 1984 coming from Tallahassee. Maggie followed her husband, Captain Bobby Murdock, FHP, ret., throughout his Florida Highway Patrol career across the state. She is finally with Bobby, whom she dearly missed. Maggie also loved traveling and spending time in Biloxi with friends. Most of all, she cherished her family and always welcomed her grandchildren and their friends into her home. She is survived by her children, Martin (Tammy) Murdock and James (Tracy) Murdock both of Panama City; her sister, Pamela (Ronnie) Allgood of Lynn Haven; her grandchildren, Austin, Dustin, Alexis & Stephen; her great-granddaughter, Dahlia; a niece, Amanda (Patrick) McRae and grandnephews, Landon & Lucas McRae of Lynn Haven. Maggie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Gulf Coast Medical Center ICU for the care and attention they provided. Friends will be received Monday from 5-6 pm at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where funeral services will take place that day at 6 pm. Entombment will take place privately in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Covenant Care Hospice in Mimi’s memory.
