He has three (3) grandsons: Joel “Chap” Chapman, IV; Jaye Chapman (Madison) and Josh Puckett. He is also survived by 27 nieces and nephews.

Dad was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and worked tirelessly to provide for them. He wanted mom to be able to stay at home and care for their children and home. He worked at Appleton Wire Works (Albany International) for 42 years. He worked shift work most of his career; working double shifts as much as possible to help provide for his family. Even after long hours at work, he always had time for his family. You would see him at the ball field coaching or in the backyard playing not only with his kids, but all the kids in the neighborhood! If you lived close to them you knew who “Mr. Larry” was in the neighborhood. He was always outside working in the yard and checking in on neighbors to see what they needed. He was a faithful servant in the church. He enjoyed visiting the sick in the hospital and nursing homes and always made sure on Sunday to take them the Lord’s Supper and pray with them. He established in us a legacy of faith, family and service. We are eternally grateful that God gave him to us. We are blessed in this life and beyond because of his witness and example of work and service.

We want to say a special thank you to the caregivers that helped us care for him. Thank you to Darla Fontenot, Rachel Briggs, Isis Raines, Krisie Walsh and Rhonda Hunt. You are all very special to our parents and our family. Thank you to Zacki Revell, dad’s Hospice nurse. Thank you for your care and kindness with dad. Thank you, Keesha, Hospice CNA, for your care of our dad. We also want to say thank you to all of our church family, friends and hospice staff that watched out for dad and were quick to help in times of need. We love you all!

To our Daddy, your work on earth here is done. Go rest on high with the Father and the Son. We are so thankful you are with mom again! We will see you again one glorious day. Thank you for loving us! We will love you forever and always!
