PATRICIA THROWER

Patricia F. Thrower, 77, of Panama City, went to be with the Lord Monday, September 25, 2017. Patricia was born in Langdale, AL, but was a long time resident of the Columbus Ga/Phenix City Al area. She moved to Panama City over 10 years ago, after retiring from the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, whe she was the Historian for 40+ plus years. Patricia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City, and resided at Sienna Gardens, which she proudly called her new home/family. Patricia enjoyed cooking, gardening, bingo at the clubhouse, shopping with her daughter, holidays, and family time. Patricia was a true social butterfly and a genuine southern belle, and to know her was to love her. "Strangers are just friends that I haven't met yet"...is a famous quote that she lived by. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Mia and Michael Pankey of Lynn Haven; her sisters, Sue Boothe (Chuck) of Waverly Hall and Elaine Nichols of Atlanta; brothers, Gaines Fetner (Rita) of Lanett, AL and Wayne Fetner (Sherry Mercer) of Augusta, GA; and her granddogs, Diesel and Abby.

A Celebration of Life Service for Patricia will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
