Patrick "Pat" Joseph was born in Stoughton, MA, in 1966. He was a longtime resident of Lynn Haven, FL. He passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the age of 51.
Pat was a corporate pilot and owner and operator of Panhandle Aviation and Transportation Services (PATS), flying for Jay Odom and James Montgomerie of Destin FL, for the past 13 years. Pat flew air ambulance medical transport in Gallup, NM, and was also a corporate pilot in Dallas, TX. He remained a certified flight instructor his entire flight career.
The New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Rays were Pat's favorite teams; and he attended games as often as possible with his family. He was also fond of water sports and playing pool. He enjoyed sharing his passion of riding motocross with his son Justin. Pat had an outstanding singing voice as well.
Pat had a soft spot for his dogs and would often bring home strays to join the family. He loved all his dogs, including Chewy, Turbo, and Zac.
He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents John and Adele Ignatowicz, and paternal grandparents Dr. John Joseph and Billie Jo Joseph.
Mr. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Gwyn L. Joseph, and son Justin G. Joseph II, of Lynn Haven, FL, mother Elizabeth Joseph, father, Justin Joseph, brother Derek Joseph, sister Samantha Carter, nephew Jason Joseph and niece Riley Marie Joseph all from the Tampa, FL, area. Special friends include Brian Friedhoff, Alan Young, Marcia Dorsey and first officer Jack Marshall.
Services for Mr. Joseph will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral home. Visitation will be 12:00 to 2:00 pm, with services beginning at 2:00 pm.
Mr. Joseph was a member of ASPCA, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter.
Mr. Joseph was a tissue and organ donor.
