Robert R Mount

Robert Ray Mount, 83 of Panama City, passed away May 17, 2017 at his home. Robert was born February 4, 1934 in Walton County, FL to Willie and Maggie (Price) Mount and moved to Panama City in 1944. Robert owned and operated Robert Mount Construction and was a charter member of Temple Baptist Church where he served also as a Deacon and Treasurer. He is preceded in death by his parents; his two daughters, Janet & Julie; his brothers, Charlie & JT Mount and his sisters, Brittie Mae Kilpatrick, Vonciel Tucker, Louise Stansel and Edna Foister. He was united in marriage in 1953 to his wife, Annette who resides in Panama City. Robert is also survived by his son, Ray (Maggie) Mount of Fountain; his grandchildren, Heather George, Stephanie Potts, Matthew Harris and Michelle Suggs; his great-grandchildren, Shelby, Maggie & Izzy Suggs, Austin Harris, Billie Rae & Wesley Goodson, Aubrey George and Khloe Cotton; his sister & brother-in-law, Jane & Roy Thornton; a brother-in-law, Joel Hall as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received Sunday from 4-6 pm at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where funeral services will take place 10 am Monday. Interment will be held in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Robert’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Covenant Care Hospice, Jerry & Charlotte Joiner, Bobby & Mary Wilson, Bill & Lula Beddee, Jerry & Monty Lewis, Dr. Victor Ortega, Dr. Samuel Combs and Dr. Emad Eisa for all their care and concern for Robert and his family.
