STEPHEN JOSEPH SMITH

Stephen Smith, 51, of Panama City, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at his home. Stephen was a native and life-long resident of Panama City, a 1984 graduate of Mosley High School, and attended Gulf Coast State College. He was previously employed at First National Bank, and was currently an appraiser at the Bay County Property Appraiser's office. Stephen was an avid bodybuilder, and enjoyed running, competing in numerous 5 and 10K races in Bay County. He also was an avid collector of all types of music, but his first love was rock and roll.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Katie Smith. He leaves behind many beloved friends and co-workers.

Services for Stephen will begin at Noon Friday, April 21, 2017, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until service time at Noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 332 N Lauderdale St, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Stephen Joseph Smith.
