WILLIAM LEROY GOLDEN

William Leroy Golden, 81, of Panama City, Florida, died June 16, 2017, in a local nursing center. Leroy was born September 4, 1935, in Muscadine, Alabama. Leroy attended Alabama School for the Deaf where he met and married Joyce Helen Cook. He was a carpenter/cabinet maker by trade, living in Alabama and Georgia before settling in Panama City.

Leroy is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce, of 59 ½ years, two sons, Frank L. Golden (wife Kimberly), Panama City and Fred Lee “Freddy G” Golden (Windy), Georgia; grandchildren Jagger Reese and Addison Kathleen Golden, Panama City and Crystal, Addie, and Bethany Golden, Georgia; two great grandsons, Bryson Rudd and Aiden Barton, Georgia; sister, Doris Boggess, North Carolina.Leroy was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Golden, his mother Addie Belle Golden, and his brother, Bobby Golden.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, and the memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Leroy’s memory to the Deaf Ministry of Grace Baptist Church.
