Alfred “Al” Lee Sexton, 79 a life-long resident of Panama City, passed away October 2, 2019 at Gulf Coast Medical Center. Al was born November 13, 1939 to E. Marion and Ruth (Cloud) Sexton who preceded him in death. Al is also preceded in death by a brother, M. Coleman Sexton. Al is retired from the former Daffin Mercantile Company as a route salesman. He loved the Florida outdoors and was a 30 years member of Panama Country Club and also enjoyed fresh water fishing with his family. Al was also a faithful and very active member of Emerald Coast Fellowship Church where he served as a Church Elder and Deacon. Most of all, Al loved his family and spending precious time with them. He was united in marriage on June 6, 1959 in Panama City to his wife, Wyvon who resides in Lynn Haven. He is also survived by his children, Connie (John) Sparks of Hattiesburg, MS and Roger Sexton of Lynn Haven; his siblings, Ray Sexton of White Pine, TN, Gwen (Wayne) Stanford of Panama City and S. Monty (Joe) Derrick) of Little Mountain, SC; his grandchildren, Lindsey (Caleb) Miller and Tanner Sparks both of Hattiesburg, MS; his great-granddaughter, Mollie Miller of Hattiesburg, MS; his mother-in-law, Marvell Taylor; brother and sister-in-aw, Wayne and Cathy Carter. Friends will be received 10-11 am Saturday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where funeral services will take place that morning at 11 am. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
