Anthony Whittington

Anthony Brian Whittington, Sr. (Tony), 61 of Panama City, FL passed away peacefully Friday, October 4, 2019.Tony was born in Altoona, PA to Rosanna Yvonne Whittington and Gale Edward Whittington (Woody) on April 21, 1958, where Tony’s father was stationed for the Air Force. Tony settled in Panama City, FL with his family in 1967. Tony was very free spirited and never met a stranger. Growing up Tony was an avid surfer, locally known artist, and was in JR ROTC. Tony loved to dance, sing, and fish as well. Tony graduated from Bay High School in 1976 and was involved in the Panama City Jaycees for several years. Tony is preceded in death by his father, Gale Edward Whittington Sr. (Woody), mother, Rosanna Yvonne Whittington, and brother, David Keith Whittington. Tony was a loving father, grandfather, son, uncle, and brother who is survived by his children Ariane Bridget Williford (Jessus), Anthony Brian Whittington II (Alyssa), his grandsons Christian Kai Williford, Asher Burr Whittington, and nephew Gale Edward Whittington II (Eddie). Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 5:30-7:00 pm at M.B. Miller Pier (County Pier) 12213 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach, FL 32407 Pastor Gino Mayo will be officiating. We invite you to dress casually, bring your chairs and share your fondest memories.
