POLLY BULLEN

Polly Bullen, 86, of Lynn Haven, went to be with the Lord March 7, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Polly was born January 20, 1935 to Woodrow and Naomi Skipper in Houston County, AL. She attended school in Madrid and Rehobeth, AL where she participated in many activities. Polly moved to Bay County in December 1952, and graduated from Bay High in 1953. She met Ronald Lee Bullen, a Tyndall AFB airman, and they married in 1953. Ronald's Air Force career carried them to Ohio before they returned to Bay County in 1962. Polly later graduated from cosmetology school, and was a hairdresser for several years. She then became a library assistant at Lynn Haven Elementary School, working there 22 years until her retirement.

Polly and Ronald planned to travel after her retirement, but he passed away in 1998. She enjoyed reading, sewing, working in the yard, and traveling. Polly was a long-time member of Hiland Park Baptist Church, where she was active in her Sunday School class and the "Silver Saints". She also was a frequent visitor to the Lynn Haven Senior Center, making many new friends there.

Survivors include her daughter, Yvonne B Jennings; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer (Tony) and Tina; 5 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Fondren officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00. Flowers are appreciated, or donations may be made to the Hiland Park Baptist Church in memory of Polly.
