Rev. Benedict Klucinec

Fr. Ben Klucinec born July 13, 1921 son of Joseph Klucinec and Anna Lekar went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 30, 2018. Fr. Ben was predeceased by his three brothers Clement, Paul and Joseph. He is survived by his three children, Tim Klucinec (Debbie), Dan Keyes, and Tricia Glaister (Tom); three grandchildren, Carmie (Jorge) Tricia, and Brian (Chrissy); three great grand children, Lucas, Aurelia, and Aurora along with many nieces and nephews.

He was a US Army veteran of World War II and served under General Patton where he was awarded Bronze and Silver Stars. He was a gifted actor and singer. He performed in Off Broadway plays and taught drama in high schools. At the age of 62 he entered the seminary to become a Catholic priest. After Ordination on August 29, 1987, he shepherded many for thirty two years. He was a devoted and beloved priest. He will be missed by many especially for his beautiful grin and his ability to make people laugh.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, November 2, 2018, at St. John Catholic Church with Bishop William Wack officiating. Interment will follow at Catholic Cemetery with US Army Honors at Graveside. The family will receive friends at the Church from 9:00 AM until time for Mass at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Fr. Ben's name may be made to the Building Fund at St. Dominic Catholic Church.
