Tribute

Our beloved mother, wife and grandmother Betty Lou (Yoak) Taylor, 84, of Lynn Haven, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 6, 2022.  She was born on December 31, 1937 in Clendenin, WV to Harry and Sybil (Naylor) Yoak.

She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and best friend.  We will all remember her great sense of humor, her sweet caring heart for others and the sacrifices she made throughout her life for her family and loved ones.  No sacrifice was too much nor too great.  In 1992 she and her loving husband of 53 years moved to Panama City Beach, FL where their love of time together would be enjoying the beach and boating adventures to "Gilligan's Island".  She cherished the visits from family who often came to see her.  She loved cooking, reading and spending time with her loved ones.  She was a caretaker for her siblings at an early age known to many as "Second Mom".  She loved hard, never complained and always had a beautiful smile that would brighten your day.  She was the "glue" to our family and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Taylor, Sr., parents, Harry and Sybil (Naylor) Yoak, sisters, Phyllis Francisco and Shirley Breedon, brother, Jack Yoak.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean George, of St Marys, WV, Vickie Taylor, of Lynn Haven, FL, one son, Donald Taylor, Jr., of Lynn Haven, FL, one brother, Donovan Yoak,of Gauley Bridge, WV, three sisters, Mary Cochrane, of Vienna, WV, Ruth Catlett ( Dave), of Dunbar, WV, Lena Karwoski, (Bob), of Indianapolis, IN, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her very special sweet furbaby, Sarah.

A celebration of her life will be held in WV at a later date.
