Brenda Christine Maxwell

Brenda Christine Maxwell, 78, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on March 19, 2024. Brenda was originally from Atlanta, GA; however, she spent the last 40 years of her life in Panama City Beach, where she enjoyed activities like deep-sea fishing. She was a hairdresser extraordinaire and a mariner. She loved making people look beautiful, and she really loved to dance!

She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Margaret Bowden, her father, Ray Webb, her stepfather, Claude Bowden, her brother, Baby Ray, as well as her beloved grandchildren Brandi & Dillon, along with her great-grandchild, Caden. Brenda also joins the loves of her life, John Maxwell, and Melvin Wells, in heaven.

Brenda was a collector of people and animals; she never met a stranger. She felt a strong calling to care for the less fortunate. She leaves behind three wonderful children: her beautiful daughter Celeste and her husband Joe Momin, her beloved sons Guy Wells and his wife Misty, and Benny Rankin and his partner Jack. She also leaves behind her beloved siblings Sandy, Claude, and Beth, and grandchildren Preston Momin (Heather), Jasmine Momin-Johnson (Kyle), Shi-Ann Gunderson (Logan), Bobbi Colyer, Chris Gibbs (Cathy), and an abundance of loving great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The world will be a little bit quieter without our bold and beautiful soul. The loss of this great character will be felt by many.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
