Brian Gardner, Sr., 91, passed at his home on May 21st, after an extended illness. Mr. Gardner, a South Georgia native, served his country as a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. A veteran of foreign war, CPO (Ret) Gardner saw active duty during both the Korean War and the Cuban Missile Crisis. He made Panama City his permanent home following a distinguished twenty year military career, where upon retirement, he and his wife, the late Mrs. Sadako Gardner, owned and operated a successful Import/Export store for several years. He leaves in mourning a son, Brian S. Gardner Jr.; and brothers, Lloyd and Glenn Gardner. He will also be deeply missed by a host of friends and relatives, including his grandchildren; Joshua Barnhill, Morgan Dorsett and Melissa Rogers. A service honoring his life will be announced at a later date.
