Callie Herron

Callie Maude Hopper Herron, 87, of Panama City, FL, passed away on 11/22/2021.  She was born in Tuscaloosa, AL on April 27,1934 to Horace and Ernestine Harrison Hopper.  Callie was married to Eugene (Gene) C. Herron from 1952 until his passing in 1993. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her flowerbeds, planning the Hopper family reunions, and attending Sunday School as a faithful member of St. Andrew Baptist Church.  Callie is predeceased by her parents, her husband, and all of her siblings.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Twila Miller (Jimmy), and Susan Diltz (Jack), her grandchildren Emily Caton (Chris) and Bobby Diltz (Crystal), her great grandchildren Sam and Audrey Caton, and Maddie and Sydney Diltz, brother-in-law Harold Herron (Sandra), and numerous nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank the caring staff of Pruitt Health and Emerald Coast Hospice.  According to her wishes, a family graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
