Carl Ballasso

Mr. Carl Wayne Ballasso, born November 5, 1933 went to be with our heavenly father on March 15, 2023. Dad was 89 years old and died of natural causes. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Kirkpatrick Ballasso.

We were so blessed that he was of sound mind and body for so many years. He had a tough exterior however he was soft at heart. He was a simple man who was very thoughtful, always giving grapefruit, oranges etc. off his trees to anyone he thought might enjoy them. In addition, he always sent cards to his family and friends on special occasions, along with helping anyone he felt was in need. In his younger days he was a hardworking man always providing for his family which at times required 3 jobs. He did it without complaining.

He gave service to his country through his time in the US Army. He was a true patriot spending many years working on campaigns for the Republican party. He retired from Chevron Oil after 27 years of service.
Dads favorite breakfast spot was Vals on the corner of Thomas Dr. They would start his order as soon as they saw him pull into the parking lot because his order never varied, known as “The Mr. Carl”.
He leaves behind a legacy of 6 children, Wayne Ballasso (Laurie), Carla Whyle (Charles), Rhonda Ballasso, Tammy Ballasso, David Ballasso, an adopted daughter, Shannon Godwin, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 step daughters, Charlene Brinkerhoff and Sue White, along with several step grandchildren. 

Although he's is no longer with us in the physical world he continues to live in our hearts.

Services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday March 18, 2023 at Kent-Forest Lawn 2403 Harrison Ave, Panama City Fl. Viewing will be held on Friday March 17 6-8PM at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
