KENNETH "KENNY" BARRON

Kenny Barron, 64, of Panama City, joined his loved ones in Heaven July 3, 2019, with his family at his side. Kenny was a native of Panama City and was a 1973 graduate of Bay High. He earned his bachelor's degree from Auburn University, and MBA from Troy University. Kenny worked for Gulf Power for 38 years, ending his career as Sr. Engineering Representative. He was Methodist by faith, attending Forest Park United Methodist Church. Kenny's greatest joy was spending time with his beloved grandchildren and family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorman (Doc) and Virginia Barron; two brothers, Dorman, Jr. and Donald, a sister, Gwen Roark, and nephews, Craig Barron, Bradley Barron and Nicholas Lowery.

Survivors include his loving wife, Tina; 3 sons, Gregory Barron (Kayla), Michael Dupree (Lauren), and John Dupree (Bridget), all of Bay County; 3 brothers, Dink Barron (Jackie) of Houston, TX, Nick Barron (Delores) of Lynn Haven and Herb Barron (Jessica) of Panama City; two sisters, Jean Neeld (Herb) of Crystal River and Beth Barron Adams of Panama City; his grandchildren, Ally Barber, Brady Barron, Adelynn Dupree, Noah Dupree, Owen Dupree and Bennett Dupree; sister-in-law, Carolyn Barron; brother-in-law, Bob Roark; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, July 8, 2019, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kenny's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 USA / donors@stjude.org. Kenny's family requests that casual attire be worn for his celebration.
