Carol M. Wiedenmann

Carol Wiedenmann, 90, born May 10, 1929 in West Haven, CT, went  home to our Lord Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at a local health care facility.

Carol was a long time resident of West Haven and Meriden, CT.  She retired from Southern New England Telephone Company at 54 years old after 37 years of service, where she worked as an Accounant and then an Estimator.  During that time she was the star basketball player for the SNET ladies team called the Tel Bells, who won the City Championship 10 years in a row.  Carol was also a star player for the Tel Bells Softball team.

After retiring in 1983. Carol along with her best friend Mickie became avid golfers becoming members of the ladies golf league at Hunter Golf Course in Meriden, CT. In 1991 not being able to handle the Northeast winters, Carol and Mickie became snowbirds coming to Panama City Beach for the winter months.  Carol and Mickie were also members of the Holiday Ladies Golf League for 25 years, and played the Holiday and the Hombre courses where she got a hole in one on the 11th hole at the Hombre. She also got a hole in one on the 3rd hole at Indian Springs Golf Course in Middlefield, CT. As Carol liked to say, she always did her best to beat her best friend Mickie. And they are now reunited in Heaven, probably golfing or playing Bingo. 

Carol was preceded in death by her mother Anna, her Father G. Paul, her Brother Paul and her best friend Mickie. 

She is survived by her Nephews, David, Daniel his wife Kim, daughter’s Nicole & Lauren; Paul his wife Susan, daughter Isabelle and the love of her life her cat Riley. 

A private graveside service will be held at a later date
