Cecilia Lee (McCoy) Shewmake, 60, of Panama City, Fl., passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018.
Cecilia is survived by her son Richard “Ricky” Shewmake Jr., wife Cindy and their daughter Abigail of Ponca City, and daughter Virginia “Ginny” Powell and children Ayden and Addison of Panama City, Fl., her father Cecil E. McCoy of Cheverly, Md., and sister Sherry Stemm Easton of St. Petersburg, Fl.
Cecilia was born in Oklahoma City and attended Northwest Classen High School. She was genuinely a 1970s hippie of the truest form, bright, funny and a free-spirited lover of life.
Cecilia formerly lived in Ponca City and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She spent most of her adult life as a mother and homemaker. She was known for her laughter, her smiles and her positive outlook as well as her sometime fiery redhead personality. She was a wonderful mom and nana.
She loved beautiful things, the beach and buying gifts for others. Her children said she was a good cook. Her grandchildren said they loved her sweetness and her singing them songs.
