Charles Gerard Moormann III, 77, of Lynn Haven, Florida passed away from the effects of dementia on April 30, 2019. He was the only child of Charles G. Moormann II and Marjorie Hortense Stevenson Moormann. He was born in Richmond, IN on November 24, 1941. He spent his childhood in Huntingdon, IN and then made Connersville, IN his home. He graduated from Connersville High School in 1959 and then attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. At the age of 15 he met Martha Karen Brown. They were blessed with four years of courtship and 57 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife and their two sons; Jeffrey E. Moorman (Ginger) and Gregory A. Moormann. Also surviving are grandchildren Vanessa (Jorge) Cabanas, Lauren (Josh) Price, Tyler A. Moormann, and Natalia L. Moormann. Also surviving are several great grandchildren. During his career in retail management he worked in several states. This gave him the opportunity to introduce his family to cultures and activities from North Carolina to Utah. But the family came home when he was transferred to Florida and they settled in Lynn Haven. He had resided in and loved Lynn Haven for 46 years. As the discount stores that he managed changed, he found new careers. He became a golfer, travel coordinator for the family and career supporter of his wife.
Memorialization will be by cremation and a life celebration will be held at a future date. The family requests no flowers, but anyone wishing to contribute in his memory is asked to donate to Covenant Care of Panama City. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Superior Residences and especially the devoted caregivers in the memory care unit for the compassionate care he received there.
