Captain Charles Edward Robinson, BSCO, ret., 82, of Panama City, passed away February 11, 2017 at his home. Charles was born September 19, 1934 in Natchez, MS to Talmadge and Jewel Inez (Jones) Robinson and moved to Panama City in 1962. Chuck is a retired Navy Veteran with over 13 years of service. He continued his faithful service to his community by joining the Panama City and Parker Police Departments and eventually retiring as a Captain with Bay County Sheriff’s Office. Chuck was known as a fair man who always could find the best in everything and everyone and believed everything had value. He loved being around people especially his family and children. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Canada and two siblings, Talmadge "Buddy" Robinson and Lyn Sexton. Charles was united in marriage in 1955 to his wife, Dorothy who resides in Panama City; his children, Charles (Jeanette) Robinson, Jr. of Jackson, GA, Terri (Allan) Bunch of Panama City and Debi (Paul) Scott of Panama City. He is also survived by more than 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where funeral services will take place 10 am Thursday. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
