Cheri" Lyn" James

Mrs. Cheri “Lyn” James, 70 years young, of Lynn Haven, FL, died Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 at West Florida Hospital (Hospice Center) Pensacola, FL. Born in Florence, South Carolina, she had been a resident of Lynn Haven since December 2004. She had been a widow for a little over 5 years; of a veteran of the U.S. Army. She married her first and only love, David W. James and was married for over 47 years. She and her husband had started their own typewriter repair business in 1974; where she worked the accounting while he handled the repairs; until their move to Lynn Haven in 2004. Her second love in life was her love for all her many dachshunds.

Surviving Mrs. James are two daughters, Sandra Harding and husband Richard Harding, Shannon Daras; three sister-in-law’s and one brother-in-law, Bette Bruhmuller, Christine James, Karen and Ed James; three grandchildren, Holli Locklear and husband Daniel Locklear, Cindie Jones and Sylvia Daras; five great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Raeanna and Olivia Umling, Braxton and Aria Locklear.

Viewing services will be held on October 13, 2019 from 6 – 8 p.m. and Funeral Services at 12:00 p.m. at the Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Cemeteries in Panama City, FL. Interment will be also be at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Cemeteries.
