I had the honor of serving with Chief Somers. I got to know him best when we deployed to Cairo, Egypt, with an Air Transportable Hospital. We were there at Christmas and took over the piano and Chief sang Christmas Songs for us. I was just remembering him and trying to look him up on line when I found this - that he has gone physically from us. He will always be in my memory as one of my best memories of the best poeple I ever had the pleasure to know....
