David L. Durnbaugh, 80 of Panama City Beach, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Gulf Coast Hospital. David was born March 23, 1938 in Washington, DC to George and Kate (Dagostino) Durnbaugh and moved to Panama City Beach in 1985. David was a meat cutter who started his career at the age of 13 until he was 30 with Safeway Foods. He was also an entrepreneur at heart and owned several night clubs and restaurants in Maryland before moving to Panama City Beach where he owned the Bull at the Beach restaurant. David was also a successful realtor having worked throughout Panama City Beach. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, George. He is survived by his wife, Brenda of Panama City Beach; his sons, David (Laurie) Durnbaugh, Jr. of Maryland and Anthony (Sheryl) Durnbaugh of Myrtle Beach, SC; step-daughter, Trudy (James) McCall of Panama City Beach; step-sons, Brandon Bingaman of Panama City and Eric Parker of Tennessee; brother, John (Angnes “Ennie”) Durnbaugh of Panama City; sister, Lenora “Snookie” (Ron) McCloskey of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Christopher and Samantha Durnbaugh and step-grandchildren, Joseph, Samuel and Jacob Buatu. Friends will be received 10-11 am Friday at the Forest Park United Methodist Church where a memorial service will take place that morning at 11 am. Inurnment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cremation Garden. Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
