Dave retired from Lockheed Martin in 2001, and as any of his former work associated will tell you, he was an outstanding engineer. He considered it a privilege to work on numerous space and defense programs throughout his career. He would laughingly say that his work was now in the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum. In 2007 he came out of retirement to work on the Space Shuttle Replacement program in Huntsville, Al. returning home again in 2010 when the program was cancelled. He often said his loved his work, saying it was fun.
