DAVID JEAN GOSSETT
David Jean Gossett, 60, of Panama City, Florida went to be with the Lord on Thursday December 27, 2018 at a medical facility in Panama City.
David was born on November 4, 1958 in Trenton, Michigan to his parents Jean E. Gossett and Doris J. MacIntyre. David lived in Bay County for approximately 20 years and resided in Dothan, Alabama for 18 years.
He worked as a Biomedical Electronic Engineer for approximately 38 years before retiring. Over the course of his career, he worked for General Electric, Phillips, and RTI Medical installing and maintaining medical equipment for local hospitals in Panama City, Dothan, and the entire Panhandle areas.
David was a genuine and kindhearted man with a great sense of humor and a light-hearted spirit. He was a problem solver with an analytical mind. He enjoyed working on machinery, cars, and always enjoyed a challenge. In his early years, he had an extreme passion for photography which continued throughout his life. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time helping his daughter and son-in-law with their business as an arborist.
David was a devoted Son, caring Brother, and loving Father. He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, and his Brother Dean A. Gossett. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie (Gossett) Burton and son-in-law Joseph Burton of Orlando, FL; sister Pamela (Gossett) MacIntyre of Pensacola, FL; and stepdaughters: Teresa Muller of Orlando, FL and Kelly Lezotte of Seattle, WA, Candace Hardy Phillips of Mobile, AL, and Jennifer Hardy of Enterprise AL; and his stepson, Kaleb Hardy of Mobile, AL.
A memorial service will be held in his honor and remembrance of his life at First Assembly of God in the ministry center behind the main sanctuary at 1701 N. East Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405 on Friday January 25, 2019 starting at 5:00pm. A visitation with the family will be held prior to the memorial between 4:00-5:00pm. Pastor Phillip Edwards will be officiating the service.
