DeShawn Walker

DeShawn J. Walker, age 38, passed away suddenly in Panama City, Florida on January 8, 2021. He was born on May 26,1982 to Dennis Sr. and Eliza Walker. He accepted Christ at an early age. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 2000. He immediately joined the U.S. Air Force and where he retired as a MSgt after 20 years of service on October 1, 2020. Over those 20 years he obtained 2 Associates degrees and 1 Bachelors degree as well as awards and accolades. His hobbies consisted of making the people around him laugh, grilling and spending time with his family. His daughter Shaniah was daddy's girl and his shadow, they even had nicknames for each other. His son Jaedin was his right hand man, partner in video games and sports. His wife Etoiel was the love of his life always by his side since the age of 16, they've been married for well over 20 years. DeShawn is preceded in death by his father Dennis J. Walker Sr. and his brother Dennis J. Walker Jr.
DeShawn leaves his cherished memories with his loving wife Etoiel Walker; mother Eliza Walker; children Shaniah Walker and Jaedin Walker; a brother DeJuan Walker; maternal grandmother Annie M. Dubose; great aunt Doris Whitlow (Tommy); mother-in-law Elaine Jackson; father-in-law Charles Jeffries (Robyn); two sister-in-laws Nakia and Tiffany; five brother-in-laws Kenneth, Adolph Jr. (Nautica), Christopher, Charles, and Christian; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm Friday January 15, 2021 and from 9:00am to service time on Saturday January 16, 2021 at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday January 16, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow the funeral services at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
