Dolores Logue 87, of the Seabreeze Community passed away Thursday November 1st, 2018 in her home. Dolores was born in Philadelphia Pa. As a young woman with a beautiful voice and a talented pianist, Dolores completed a college degree in music. Throughout her life, she enjoyed singing with choirs in her parish church and professionally. At a dance in December 1960, she met the love of her life, Tony. In June 1961, they married and went on to celebrate 53 years together. Over the years, Dolores enjoyed many careers such as flight attendant, private secretary for the Deans Office at Mercer University – Atlanta. But, she was most proud of studying and becoming a certified Chaplain at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Atlanta, where she worked until retirement.

In 1995, Dee and Tony retired to Seabreeze, Florida. She was a faithful member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church serving as a Eucharistic minister, a member of the Women’s Guild and founding member of St. Vincent DePaul Society. Dolores was instrumental in development of the Sacred Heart Hospital volunteer guild and served as a volunteer chaplain for 12 years. Dolores was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed praying the rosary, spending time visiting with friends, watching good movies, cooking, entertaining, going for walks, reading biographies and watching the news to stay abreast of current politics. Traveling in the US and abroad was one of her passions, she was always planning her next trip and adventure. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Laura Devers, her brother Capt. (Fr.) Edward L. Richardson CHC, USN, her sister Claire Muldowney, her husband Anthony William Logue and son Michael Anthony Logue. Survivors include her children Lisa Logue Burns (Roy) of Inlet Beach, Brian Edward Logue (Jean) of Yorktown, VA and Kathleen Laura Logue of Panama City Beach; her grandchildren Kathryn and Brenden Burns and Laura Jean Logue; her granddogs Cody and Daisy.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will begin at 5:00 pm Tuesday, November 6th, 2018, at St. Rita Catholic Church with Father Michael and Father Dennis celebrating. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ on Saturday, November 11th, 2018. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 pm until mass at 5:00 pm. Reception will follow mass in the Mary Star of the Sea room. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita Catholic Church for the St. Rita Chapter of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul.
