Donald Joseph Beebe

Lt. Col., Donald Joseph Beebe, United States Army, Ret., 83 of Panama City, passed away peacefully November 13th, 2019 at Gulf Coast Hospital. Donald was born March 14th, 1936 in Alexandria Bay, NY and moved to Panama City in the late 1980’s. Donald is a Vietnam War Veteran serving two tours and is retired from the United States Army with over twenty years of service to his country. After retirement Donald worked locally for the Cheese Barn and Winn-Dixie as a baker. Don then taught Life Skills to inmates housed at the Bay Correctional Facility while facilitating community service projects by the inmates to the local Veteran’s home and other organizations. Donald is preceded in death by his wife Tatiana Tolstoy in 2012. He is survived by his brother, Robert Beebe of New York State; his sons, Gabriel Beebe of Panama City and Eugene Michael Beebe of Fountain, FL; his daughters, Vera Reed of Atlanta and Natalie Stroup of Erie, PA as well as his multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received 6-8 pm Friday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where funeral services will take place 10 am Saturday. Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
