Donald Gary Johnson

Donald Gary Johnson, age 64, of Panama City, Florida, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday. November 20, 2018.

Gary worked at the Panama City paper mill for nearly 40 years, where he proudly served in various capacities for United Steel Workers Local Union 1342 for 30 years, including 26 years in role of local president.

He is preceded in death by his parents Levy Johnson Jr. and Euline Johnson; brother Jerry Kenneth Johnson.

He is survived by his loving wife Gayle Redmon Johnson for 42 years, sons, Jason (Katherine) Johnson and Christopher (P.J.) Johnson; sisters Cecllia Burch (Ralph), Elizabeth Bolin (Doug); brother Allen Johnson (Tammy); grandchildren Shelby Lewis (Austin),Levy Johnson, Lyndi Johnson,Tomaryn Johnson, and Jae Lynn Johnson.

Serving as pallbearers are James Isler, Sean Owens, Joe Everitt, Robert Roberts, Greg Collins, and Greg Forehand.

Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Barnes, Jimmy Peters, and Sidney ”Buddy” Duffer, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 2:00 P.M. at The First Assembly of God in Panama City with Pastor Allen Crabtree officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Lynn Haven, the family will receive guests at the church from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.
