DORMAN L. BARRON, JR.
Dorman L Barron Jr. age 74, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 6. He was surrounded by his friends and family. His strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of his family and friends carried him through these last few months. A celebration of his life will be held at Forest Park United Methodist Church on Wednesday, June 12th at 10:00 AM.
He was greeted in Heaven by the following family that had preceded him in death: Parents, Dorman L (Doc) and Virginia Barron; Siblings, Donald Barron and Gwen Barron Roark; Nephews, Craig Barron and Bradley Barron and Great Nephew, Nick Lowery.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Barron; sons Brian Barron, Brooks Barron and Chad Barron; grandchildren Angela Smith, Sylvia Cooper, John Cooper and Josh Barron; siblings Jean and Herb Neeld, Bob Roark, Dink and Jackie Barron, Nick and Delores Barron, Beth Barron Adams, Kenny and Tina Barron, Herb and Jessica Barron and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Dorman worked as a Realtor for many years and had many friends in the industry. He enjoyed reading his bible, watching old westerns, sports and Fox News. He cherished spending time with friends, family and his dogs Suzette and Brownie. He looked forward to fellowshipping with his friends at the Thursday morning Men’s Prayer breakfast. Dorman was an avid hunter and fisherman. Some of his best times were fishing with the Dunn family in Quincy.
