DOROTHY C. "DOT" ALLEN

Dorothy “Dot” C. Allen of Lynn Haven, FL went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on July 28, 2022.

She was born in Andrews, NC on July 31, 1923 to Inez H. and John B. Hyde. She was proceeded in death by her husband, William A. Allen, Sr. and daughter, Judith Brandt .

Dot is survived by her son, William A. Allen, Jr. and his wife, Donna M. Allen. Dot is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was a faithful member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, where she served many years as president of the Progressive Sunday School Class and was an active member of the Ruth Circle. Dot had a passion for cooking for her family and her dishes were always a favorite at numerous church functions. She was an avid lifelong crocheter and won many awards for her afghans. Dot’s love for her family will reside in each of their hearts forever.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Milton Burke officiating. The family will receive friends at the Chapel from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00.
