Dorothy Ruth Hart went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 10, 2021. She was born in New Hampshire on April 26, 1922 and will join her two sons who passed before her, Neil Hart and Dale Hart, and also her husband Quinton “Jock” Hart. Dorothy leaves behind a legacy of love to her grandchildren Charles Hart (Heather), Tammy Hoffman (Paul), Jeffrey Hart, Richard Hart and Matthew Hart as well as great grandchildren, Bryce Hart, Camden Hart, Erik Walsingham, Bryan Walsingham (Thea), Brittney Keel (Jared), Derrick Wilson, numerous great-great grandchildren and many friends from church and Sunday School. Dorothy also enjoyed a special life-long friendship with Peggy Brown (Elliott) that was very precious to her. Dorothy spent her whole life caring for others and was well known for her incredible gift of cooking. Preparing food for her family and for others was truly a labor of love and although no one will be able to prepare meals like she did, she did pass on several of her favorite recipes for generations to enjoy. Dorothy was a God fearing woman her whole life and her faith carried her through many trials as she lived through the Great Depression, was a welder during World War II while her husband was serving in the Navy and then also was pre-deceased by both of her sons and her husband. She looked to Jesus to carry her through every circumstance and he did just that, as Dorothy lived a full and amazing 99 years. Dorothy was an incredible woman who is dearly missed, but who left such a beautiful example of love and service to others. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday July 15, 2021 at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
