EDNA MAE ERICKSON
Edna Mae Erickson, 84, of Panama City, passed away July 12, 2021. Edna was a native of Panama City, and lived here most of her life, returning home after traveling with her husband, Bill, during his military service. Edna enjoyed shopping, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Andrews Assembly of God Church.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years. Carl William "Bill" Erickson, a great-grandson, Brock Evans, her parents, Robert and Lucy Hood, her brothers Grady and Leroy Hood, and a sister, Evelyn Preston.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Ann Carrell (David) of Pottsboro, TX, Carl Erickson of Panama City and Linda Gayle Pavlus (Mike) of Panama City; her grandchildren, Chris Carrell, Joshua Carrell, Ilea Faircloth, Hallie Evans and Brian Pavlus; her great-grandchildren, Asher Carrell, Ella Faircloth, Grayson Evans, Camden Evans, Keaton Evans, Easton Evans, Owen Evans, Hayden Pavlus, Kyler Pavlus, and Joshua Pavlus; her brothers, Clayton, Colan, Jerry and Jimmy Hood; sisters, Katheryn Reece, Helen Cobb, Myrtle Barnes and Marynell Barnes; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 16, 2021, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Scalf officiating, and burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 until service time at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Edna's memory.
