Emma Nell Godwin was born on January 22, 1940 to Vera Mae Parrish and Cecil Neel in Panama City, Florida.
Emma was a member of Victory Pentecostal Church of Southport, Florida, loved sewing, crafts and loved working as a caregiver. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Loved her family and would do anything to help others.
She is preceded by her husband Wayne Godwin; mother Vera Mae Russell; father Cecil Neel; brother Dan Neel; stepfather Preston Bud Russell
She is survived by daughters Tammie Shelton (Tim), Pamela Jimerson and Michele Presa ; sons James Jacobs (Teresa) , Ray Jacobs (Dianne), and Jerry Jacobs ( Vonnie) ; sister Bobbie Jean Camper (Bobby) Stepson Kelly Godwin (Tonia) ; stepdaughter Judy Godwin; step son Shawn Godwin; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews; her beloved dog Poo
Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Kent- Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Bartlett officiating. Interment will follow at Southport Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Family will receive friends 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Monday, August 5, 2019 at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers are Dale Anderson, T.J. Jacobs, Bobby Camper, Ray Jacobs, Ryan Jimerson, and James Jacobs.
