Ernest (Ernie) Darrel Brannon of Lynn Haven, FL passed away at his home on September 27, 2023. He was born to Noah Brannon and Evelyn Barnes Brannon on October 21, 1937 in Jackson County, FL.
Ernie will be remembered for being a loving husband, Gramps, and Pops to his little four legged girl Sassy. After serving our country in the United States Air Force, he would later retire from Seymour Electric Company.
Ernie is preceded in death by his father and mother, Noah and Evelyn Brannon; Three brothers: Gene Brannon, Douglas Brannon, and Donnie Brannon, two step daughters, Penny Rehm and Donna Cook Sheffield. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith Brannon, step daughters Cindy Pierce (John) and Kim Sweatt (Tony), brother Linwood Brannon (Barbara Ann), four grandsons TJ Fidler, Austin Pierce, Jacob Sheffied and Cody Sheffield, two great granddaughters McKinley and Amiyah, his sweet four legged baby girl Sassy as well as several nieces and nephews.
Our family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Emerald Coast Hospice for the care your staff provided to Ernie during his time at home on hospice care. You made his last days at home brighter and more comfortable up until his passing. For that, we are extremely grateful.
Funeral Services will be on October 2 at 11 AM at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2403 Harrison Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405. Services will be led by Dr. Steve Taylor from Emerald Coast Fellowship where they were active members. Ernie's family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens following the service. Memorials may be sent to Kent Forest Lawn Funeral.
