Ernestine, 85, passed away in her home with her loving family by her side. Nanny, as known by family and many friends was born in Panama City and graduated from Bay High School in 1952.
Nanny’s passion and love was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed going to all their many activities like T-ball, baseball, softball, beauty pageants and school plays. She enjoyed camping, fishing, crabbing, taking vacations, especially cruises.
Nanny was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bobby Wilder and her loving husband of 57 years, William “H” Haisten. She is survived by her five children, Christie (Murray) Shipes, Mike Haisten, Suzy (Steven) Nadler, James (Teresa) Haisten, Sherri (Greg) Reitmeyer, daughter-in-law, Amy Jo Meekins, her 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, her sister, Esther Lee and sister-in-law Carolyn Wilder.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, Wednesday, Feb. 12th, at the Kent Forest Lawn chapel with Dr. John Friedman officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, Nanny requested donations to be made to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bay County.
